On Wonderland Rd, just north of Springbank Drive

We were on the IODE Garden Tour June 24, 2012

Welcome to this living laboratory of native and Carolinian trees, shrubs and wildflowers – designed, developed and maintained by the Garden Club of London since 1992. Built from scratch by member volunteers, it has become a gem of native biodiversity.

Plants are identified and labeled.  Easily explored on foot, the Woodland has greatly evolved since its last appearance on the tour  6 years ago. A log fence now surrounds the entire perimeter. A dry riverbed was added to combat runoff off the lower parking. The recent loss of three old-growth trees allowed us to introduce a host of unique summer flowering species. Do come and enjoy this cool, calm,’ restorative’ stop, and marvel at the ‘possibilities’ even in an urban setting.

Directions: South of Oxford, just past the Guy Lombardo Bridge or going North on Wonderland from Commissioners Rd.  Parking at the new Wonderland Gardens site.
